CorrXpert Series
Double Facer
Bonds the outer liners to make finished board.

What is a corrugated board line?
The double facer (double-backer) is the heated section that presses and bonds the liners to the corrugated web, then carries the board through a cooling/forming section to lie flat. The SM-E uses PLC-controlled hot plates and belt tension to suit any paper weight.
The SM-E runs at 200–250 m/min in widths of 1800–2500 mm. A PLC interface auto-switches the number of heating plates and the pressure to keep flute peaks intact across different paper weights. 18–22 hard-chromed hot plates (600 mm) with twin-cylinder S-type cotton-belt tensioning and auto belt-tracking.
Key benefits
- 200–250 m/min, widths 1800–2500 mm
- PLC auto-switch of heating-plate count & pressure
- 18–22 hard-chromed hot plates (600 mm)
- Twin-cylinder S-belt tensioning, auto tracking
- Protects flute peaks across paper weights
- Optional segmented pneumatic pressure

FAQ
Common questions
What does a double facer do?
It bonds the outer liner(s) to the single-face corrugated web under heat and pressure, then cools and forms the board flat — producing finished 3, 5 or 7-ply board.
How does the SM-E handle different paper weights?
A PLC interface automatically switches the number of heating plates and the pressure to keep flute peaks intact across different paper grammages.
