Single Facer

Forms single-face corrugated — cassette & fingerless types.

Single facer corrugating machine

What is a corrugated board line?

A single facer flutes the medium paper between corrugating rollers, applies glue to the flute tips and bonds a liner to one face, making single-face corrugated web. Cassette (drawer) types allow a 10-minute flute-roll change; fingerless adsorption types use vacuum to hold the web stable at high speed.

Negative-pressure design presses the medium evenly onto the flute and applies glue uniformly. Corrugating rollers are 48CrMo chrome-alloy steel, heat-treated and surface-ground to HRC58–60; air-bag pressure control and an independent glue-circulation system (which keeps running when the host stops) ensure consistent flutes. Simple touchscreen operation.

Key benefits

  • Cassette type — quick 10-minute flute-roll change
  • Fingerless adsorption — vacuum-held web, stable at speed
  • Negative-pressure design for even gluing & flute profile
  • 48CrMo flute rollers, HRC58–60, surface-ground
  • Independent glue circulation prevents glue drying
  • Touchscreen control

Usage & characteristics

  1. 01Negative-pressure design presses the medium evenly onto the flute and coats glue uniformly for a better single-face bond.
  2. 02Cassette flute-roll change in about 10 minutes — the roller is loaded by electric trolley and fixed to the machine base.
  3. 03Corrugating and pressure rollers use a high-stability air-bag control system.
  4. 04Glue volume set by electric adjustment; the gluing system runs independently when the host stops, preventing glue drying.
  5. 05Portable gluing system for easy maintenance and cleaning.
  6. 06Corrugating rollers in 48CrMo chrome-alloy steel, heat-treated and surface-ground to HRC58–60.
  7. 07Fingerless adsorption option uses vacuum to hold the web, with air-volume adjustment for stable flutes at high speed.
  8. 08Oil-bath reducer with universal-joint drive for low noise; high-temperature grease on roller bearings.
  9. 09Manual or electric separation device; simple touch-screen operation with value display.

Key difference

The high-speed production choice — a drawer/cassette flute-roll cartridge changes in about 10 minutes by electric trolley, so you switch flute profiles fast. Negative-pressure gluing, air-bag control, up to 200 m/min.

FAQ

Common questions

What does a single facer do?

It flutes the medium paper and glues a liner to one side, producing single-face corrugated web — the first bonding stage of a corrugated board line.

Cassette vs fingerless — what is the difference?

Cassette (drawer) types swap the flute roll in ~10 minutes for fast profile changes; fingerless adsorption types use vacuum (no fingers) for cleaner flutes and stable high-speed running.
